Our Mold Cleanup and Removal Procedures
THE FIRST STEP IS MOLD CONTAINMENT
After we have carefully analyzed your situation, our first step in remediation will be to contain the mold. We have many different containment procedures, including the use of negative air chambers to isolate all areas of contamination with physical barriers. We might also use negative air pressure to keep mold spores from spreading. And during the mold clean-up process we will turn off all fans, as well as any heating or cooling systems, to keep the spores from spreading.
THE SECOND STEP IS REMOVING THE MOLD
The mold removal process will proceed in response to two things:
(a) the amount of mold that must be removed, and
(b) the kinds of surfaces on which the mold is appearing.
To destroy mold colonies, and to make sure that no new colonies are able to form, we will use a series of anti-fungal and anti-microbial treatments. If necessary, we will also remove, and dispose of, any and all mold-infested materials, such as drywall and carpeting.
After removing the mold, we will clean your furniture, your curtains, your clothing, and anything else that has been affected by mold.To do this cleaning, and to completely disinfect all your belongings, we will use a range of different cleaning techniques and cleaning solutions. In addition to cleaning and disinfecting your possessions, we will also deodorize them.
Depending on the extent of mold damage, its removal and subsequent cleaning may have resulted in things like drywall, carpeting, flooring, and other building materials being removed. In such cases, restoration will require drywall to be replaced, or carpeting to be replaced, or walls to be repainted. Restoration is complete when your home, or office, or other building is returned to normal.
